We are the longest running organisation of our kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

PRIDE IS A PROTEST! Today we remember the Stonewall Uprising on 28th June 1969 when NYC police raided the Stonewall Inn, a queer nightclub in Manhattan. The incident sparked protests from the LGBTIQA+ community over their treatment by police and broader society. On the anniversary the next year, a march took place to commemorate it and that is the reason Pride Month is held in June each year. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Pride is not just a party. While we celebrate our beautiful and diverse LGBTIQA+ community, our identity and our strength, Pride is also an act of protest against historical and ongoing discrimination. There is still more to do before our community is treated fairly, is respected and is safe. #stonewalluprising #prideisaprotest
